Getting here

Gili Trawangan is one of three small islands located off the northwest coast of Lombok, the next large island 35km to the east of Bali. Gili Trawangan is just a short 10 minute speedboat ride from Lombok.

By Boat

If travelling from Bali, the quickest and cheapest way to get to Gili Trawangan is by fast boat from Serangan Harbour in South Bali (approximately 20 minutes south of Kuta/Seminyak) or from Padang Bai. Please contact us if you would like us to arrange your transfers.

By air

International flights arrive at Denpasar Airport (Bali). Some airlines also fly direct to Lombok's new International Airport which is about 1.5 hours drive to the harbours in Lombok that are closest to the Gili islands. It's a quick boat transfer from there to Gili Trawangan. We can also arrange your car and boat transfers to the island from Lombok as a package.

Arriving on Gili T

If you're travelling to Gili T on a fast boat from Bali as the majority do, your arrival will usually be around lunchtime or a little earlier, when the harbour is at its busiest with both arrivals and departures. Your boat will dock straight onto the beach, so expect to get your feet a little wet when you first set foot on beautiful Gili T. The main track will be a hive of activity as cidomos (horse and cart) ferry guests and their luggage to and from their accommodation. The hustle and bustle will give way to a peaceful afternoon when everything settles down and people are relaxing on the beach or taking an afternoon snooze in preparation for some nightlife.

Check-in & Check-out

Whatever your mode of transport to Gili T, our staff will be at the beach to meet you and assist with luggage and a cidomo if required. We'll have a cool drink waiting for you and will store your luggage if you happen to arrive before check-in time, which is 2pm. This is a great opportunity for a leisurely stroll to the beach while your villa is being prepared. Check-out time is 10am. Should your transport arrangements allow for some extra time on Gili Trawangan before departure, we will store your luggage so you can enjoy your last few hours on the island unencumbered.
